San Cristobal Pics

Here are some pics I took when I went to San Cristobal in Chiapas. It was a trip that D and I took December 1st, just before we had Christmas vacation. We didn't stay long enough to tour the amazing natural scenery, but I did purchase quite a few Christmas presents there...in fact, all of them.
So these are two pictures of a cathedral near the market where I tried to barter my way into the hearts of some tough seƱoras. I just thought the exterior of it was just so beautiful and unique.

This was the hotel where we stayed. Originally it was a house, built in the sixteenth century and covered the entire city block! It was quaint with two small doors to the bathroom which allowed me to make quite the entrance after one of my beloved hot showers.

Here is a view of one of the market stalls with the mountains behind it. Most of them sell the same thing and the smart thing to do is tour the market first to see what is available and then go in with your asking price. People who have crappier spots will be more willing to bargain because you might be their only sale, but if they're nice and sweet then why not give them a tip?

This is another cathedral near the town hall where they were lighting the Christmas lights. As you can see, the tree is all ready to go!
What would Christmas be without lights...and palm trees?
